Established in 1978 by our esteemed chairperson, Reginald P. Bottomsworth, the Committee of the Year Award has been a beacon of excellence in the field of doing absolutely nothing.

Over the years, the committee has accomplished many impressive feats of bureaucratic red tape, including:

• Creating 17 sub-committees to tackle 5 tasks
• Condemning 3 in-house coffee machines for being 'too fancy'
• Developing a 300-page report on the best practices of stapling
