According to Article 7, subsection 3 of our bylaws, every employee is entitled to a creative vacation policy. This section outlines the procedures for taking a well-deserved break from the drudgeries of committee work.
All committee members are eligible for a creative vacation, provided they have completed at least 5 meetings in the past 2 weeks and have not been on a previous vacation within the past 6 months.
Note: If you've recently been on a "stay-cation" to your in-laws' house, it does not count as a valid vacation.
Eligible employees are encouraged to submit their vacation requests at least 2 weeks in advance, using the official Vacation Request Form.
There are three types of creative vacations: "The Great Escape," "The Creative Retreat," and "The Digital Detox."
* "The Great Escape": A 3-day weekend getaway to a nearby national park, complete with a complimentary pair of hiking boots.
* "The Creative Retreat": A 4-day stay at a rustic cabin in the woods, complete with a complimentary supply of blank canvases and paint.
* "The Digital Detox": A 2-day stay at a remote cabin with no internet, complete with a complimentary supply of paper and pencils.
All vacations are subject to committee approval, and may be denied at the discretion of the Committee Chair.
