Present: Chairperson Bob, Member Alice, Member Bob, and Guest Lecturer Zaphod.
Agenda Item: "The Importance of Paperclips as a Tool for Societal Progress" (Item 3)
Chairperson Bob: "This is a vital topic, folks. I mean, have you ever used a paperclip to hold together a particularly flimsy stack of papers?"
Member Alice: "Uh, yes. Like, all the time?"
Chairperson Bob: "ประก Exactly! And that's why we need more paperclips. I propose we allocate $1,000 for a bulk purchase of 1000 paperclips for our committee's use."
Member Bob: "But Bob, that's a lot of paperclips! Can we get some for free from our corporate sponsors?"
Chairperson Bob: "Corporate sponsors? Ha! Who needs corporate sponsors when you have the power of the committee?"
Guest Lecturer Zaphod: "Actually, I think we should discuss the importance of paperclips in the context of intergalactic trade agreements. Have you considered the implications of a paperclip embargo on our relations with the Andromedian Union?"
Member Alice: "Uh, no. But that sounds... interesting."
Chairperson Bob: "Well, we'll table that for later. Next item on the agenda: "The Art of Properly Folding a Paperclip"."
