Today, we at the Public Relations Committee of Disinformation are pleased to release our latest press release, clarifying the nature of our previous statements.
Contrary to what you may have been led to believe, our previous "lies" were not, in fact, lies. We mean it. They were... creative interpretations of facts. Yes, that's it.
We take full responsibility for any confusion caused by our earlier statements, but we assure you, they were merely... spirited reimaginings of reality. Not, uh, fabrications. Definitely not.
For example, our earlier claim that the sky is actually plaid was not, in fact, a lie. It was simply a... visionary attempt to break free from the shackles of mundane reality.
We hope this clears up any confusion, and we look forward to continuing to serve as the premier purveyors of creative fact-finding in the field of public relations.
