Exceptions to the standard rules are the new standard. Or something like that.

Exceptions include:

Exceeding the 4-pixel border requirement. We're talking 8-pixel, 12-pixel, even 16-pixel borders. The more borders, the merrier.
Using a font size that's not a multiple of 4. We're talking 5, 7, 11, or 13. Anything but 4, you know.
Not following the strict color palette. We're talking pastel pink, electric blue, or metallic silver. Anything that's not our standard issue beige.
Linking to non-standardized content. We're talking PDFs, images, or even videos. The more multimedia, the better.
