1. Each contestant must be a sentient human with a functioning opposable thumb.
2. Contestants must arrive at the jousting arena on time, with a spoon of suitable jousting caliber.
3. Any contestant showing up late will face a 5-point penalty in the jousting arena.
4. The jousting tournament shall consist of a single, thrilling bout, with the winner being the first to knock off a designated number of spoons.
5. In the event of a tie, a sudden-death jousting match shall be held.
