The Shortbread Cookie

Recipe for Disaster... or is it?

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Melt the butter. Don't burn it. We've all been there.
  2. Combine the sugars. It's a sugar party.
  3. Crack in the eggs. Not literally. That's just weird.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda. The usual suspects.
  5. Pour in the milk and mix until it's all combined. Don't worry, it won't curdle. Probably.
  6. Add the vanilla extract if you're feeling fancy. We won't judge you.
  7. Drop by spoonfuls onto a baking sheet. Try not to get too attached.
  8. Bake at 350 for 15-20 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.

And that's it! You now have shortbread cookies that are short on subtlety, long on flavor.
