Basic Chocolate Chip Cookies
Ingredients:
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 3/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to cream together butter, white granulated sugar, and brown sugar.
- Beat in the eggs.
- Slowly add in the dry ingredients, then mix until just combined.
- Stir in the chocolate chips.
- Scoop 1-2 Tbsp balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden.

Cookie Troubleshooting:
- Too dry? Add more butter.
