Step 3: It's Time to Add Some Flair!
Now that we've got our ingredients, let's add some style to this ratatouille. Add some chopped fresh herbs, like parsley or cilantro, to give it that fresh, garden-grown taste.
Don't be shy with the herbs! You want to be able to smell them as you're walking down the street, or in this case, the kitchen.
1/4 cup chopped fresh herbs of your choice (we like parsley, but basil's not bad either)
Now that we've added some herbs to the mix, let's add some spice. We're talking a pinch of salt, a sprinkle of pepper, and a dash of paprika. Don't be afraid to get a little wild with the spices!
1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/2 teaspoon pepper, 1/4 teaspoon paprika
And now, the final touch: a squeeze of lemon juice. This is where things get a little weird, but trust us, it's worth it. Squeeze that lemon like you mean it, like you're trying to get the last drop out of that ratatouille.
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Now we've got our ratatouille, and it's ready to be devoured. But don't just eat it yet! You've got to add some flair, some style. We recommend serving it in a bowl, garnished with some fresh herbs and a sprinkle of parmesan cheese. Or, you know, just eat it straight from the pot like a savage.
