It was a dark day in the city of Bertha Goes to Court when IT Specialist Bertha was dragged into the courtroom on charges of "Excessive use of Comic Sans in the Workplace".
The prosecution, led by the infamous Lawyer McLawyerface, presented a mountain of evidence, including but not limited to: a printout of Bertha's email signature, a screenshot of her PowerPoint presentation, and a testimony from her coworker, Steve, who swore under oath that Bertha had "ruined his eyes with her gaudy font choices".
The judge, a wise and just man, delivered a scathing verdict, citing "Section 7, Subsection 3, Paragraph 2 of the IT Style Guide: 'No Comic Sans shall be used in any official capacity, unless specifically authorized by the Director of IT, and even then, only on Wednesdays'".
Bertha was sentenced to a year's probation, 200 hours of community service, and a mandatory course on "Effective Use of Fonts in the 21st Century".
