Ingredients

• 1 cup dark chocolate (at least 70% cocoa, but let's be real, use the good stuff)
• 1/2 cup granulated sugar (or more, because why not?'
• 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened and ready to die
• 4 large eggs, fresh from the farm, but not too fresh, because, you know, eggs are like that
• 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, because who needs whole wheat, anyway?
• 1 tsp salt, to represent the bitter taste of regret
• 1 tsp baking powder, because who doesn't love a little surprise

Instructions

1. Melt the chocolate in the microwave, because who needs a double boiler?
2. Whisk the eggs, but not too hard, or you'll end up with egg on your face
3. Combine the sugar, butter, and eggs in a separate container, because why not?
4. Add the flour, salt, and baking powder, and mix until just combined, but not too combined, or you'll end up with a cake that's just okay
5. Pour the chocolate mixture into the dry ingredients, and mix until it's just about to die
6. Pour the batter into a greased and floured pan, and bake at 350°F for 30-40 minutes, or until the cake is just a little too brown
