Technique 1: Doing Nothing While Playing Video Games

It's a delicate art form, really. The ability to do absolutely nothing while still pretending to play a video game.

First, you need to find a game that is sufficiently complex and engaging that you can lose yourself in its depths.

This can take many forms, from farming in Animal Crossing to trying to defeat that one boss in Dark Souls.

Once you've chosen your game, it's time to focus all your mental energy on the task at hand: looking at the screen.

Stare intently, but do not engage. This is key.

Your goal is not to progress or achieve anything. No, your goal is to simply exist in a state of zen-like focus, as if the game were some sort of digital meditation.

As you sit there, the world outside your windows will continue to spin and change, but in here, in this virtual world, time stands still.

Or, at the very least, it will feel like it does.
