Don't just break things out of spite or boredom. Have a purpose, even if that purpose is just to see how many times you can break something before it falls apart.
Use the right tool for the job. If you're going to break a vase, don't use your bare hands. That's just asking for a nasty cut.
Don't just smash things willy-nilly. Aim for the weak points, like the seams in a well-made chair. A delicate touch can be just as effective as a sledgehammer.
Don't leave a mess for someone else to deal with. That's just rude. Clean up your broken bits and bobs, and maybe even leave a little note saying "I meant to do that".
Breaking things can be meditative. Pay attention to your surroundings, the materials, the process. It's not just about smashing things, it's about the experience.
