"The Effects of Wearing Plaid Pants in Public: A Study of Social Perception"

Our team of experts (and one intern) conducted a study on 100 participants, all of whom were observed walking down a crowded street. The results are conclusive: 99% of those wearing plaid pants were considered "distracting" by at least 3 people, while 1 participant was deemed "fashionably adventurous" by a single individual. We conclude that plaid pants are a risk factor for social stigma, but also a possible catalyst for conversation.
