SPOT! Jupiter, the Great Gas Geyser
Exploring the Most Epic Planet in the Solar System
Located in the heart of the cosmos, Jupiter is the largest of all the planets. This gaseous behemoth is so massive that it's actually a failed star, just trying to become one, but not quite there yet.
But don't just take our word for it! Let's take a closer look at this gaseous gasbag:
- Composition: 90% hydrogen, 10% everything else (including a pinch of disappointment)
- Diameter: So big, it'll make you dizzy just thinking about it (about 142,000 km, or roughly the distance from your couch to your favorite snack store)
- Moons: 79 and counting (including one that's just a giant rock with a bad haircut)
