Our chef's latest creation... a kitchen fire so epic, it'll leave you questioning the very fabric of reality.
Caused by: A well-intentioned but ill-fated attempt to reheat last night's leftovers.
Damage: Moderate to severe. Kitchen, appliances, and the kitchen tablecloth. The latter two may never recover.
Lesson learned: Always use a toaster oven to reheat food. Always.
What was left behind? Who did it?
Among the charred remains of the kitchen, we found:
A week, a contractor, and an insurance claim later...
The kitchen is rebuilt, the appliances are fixed, and the cat is traumatized.
But we learned something new: never underestimate the power of a well-placed fire extinguisher.
