Geology 101 - Chapter 2: Magma

Chapter 2: Magma

Today we're going to talk about the fiery depths of the earth. Magma is molten rock that forms in the earth's interior, typically in the form of a liquid or a gas. It's like a fiery cauldron, but instead of witches' brew, we have... well, molten rock!

As we discussed in the last chapter, this magma is the result of the earth's core heating up, causing the surrounding rocks to melt into a liquid state. It's like when you microwave a burrito, but with more heat and less cheese.

Let's break it down:

Magma Types
