Article II, Section 3: Hamster Rights and Responsibilities
Section 3.1: Hamster Freedom of Burrow
Article II, Section 3, Subsection 1 of the Supreme Laws of Hamsterville states: "Every hamster has the right to freedom of burrow, including the right to choose its own bedding material, hideaways, and snack storage compartments."
Section 3.2: Hamster Responsibility to Clean Up After Self
Article II, Section 3, Subsection 2 states: "Every hamster shall be responsible for the cleanliness and organization of its own burrow, including but not limited to: waste removal, tunnel maintenance, and toy rotation."
Failure to comply with Section 3.2 shall result in a stern warning from the Hamsterville Ministry of Furry Affairs. Repeated offenses may result in revocation of burrow privileges.
Section 3.3: Hamster Duty to Assist in Tunnel Construction
Article II, Section 3, Subsection 3 states: "Every hamster capable of tunnel construction shall be required to participate in tunnel expansion and maintenance projects, as designated by the Hamsterville Tunnel Authority."
This duty includes, but is not limited to: providing expert tunnel-digging advice, serving as tunnel quality control, and participating in tunnel inspections.
Section 3.4: Hamster Obligation to Pay Taxes (in Hamster Bucks)
Article II, Section 3, Subsection 4 states: "Every hamster shall pay its share of Hamsterville's Tunnel Tax, a special tax levied on all hamsters to fund the construction and maintenance of the Hamsterville Tunnel Network."
Tax evasion shall result in penalties, including but not limited to: fines, confiscation of snacks, and temporary revocation of burrow privileges.
