Grading Policy for the Most Extraordinary Work Ever Done

Dear Student, congratulations!

As an Overly Competent Instructor, I have been tasked with evaluating your assignment, and I must say, it's a masterpiece. A true work of art. A symphony of excellence that resonates deep within my very soul.

But, of course, as an academic, I must be strict. Very strict. I must adhere to the most rigorous standards of grading, lest I be guilty of grade inflation.

Thus, I present to you, the Grading Policy of the Most Extraordinary Work Ever Done:

Extraordinary Work Scale:

• Extraordinary (100%): Your work is so good, it defies the very laws of physics and bends the fabric of reality.
• Very Good (90-99%): Your work is so good, it's like a warm hug for my heart, a gentle breeze on a summer's day.
• Good (80-89%): Your work is so good, it's like a perfectly crafted toaster that toasts bread to perfection, every time, without fail.
• Fair (60-79%): Your work is so good, it's like a moderately interesting conversation on a Tuesday.
• Poor (0-59%): Your work is like a participation trophy given to a child who couldn't even make it out of the womb.

Now, I know what you're thinking: "But what about the rubric, oh mighty Overly Competent Instructor?" Fear not, my dear student, for I have a rubric for that too:

Rubric of the Most Arbitrary and Subjective Evaluation Known to Mankind:

• Did it make me laugh? (50 points)
• Did it make me cry? (25 points)
• Did it make me want to take a selfie with it? (75 points)
• Did it make me think of the meaning of life? (100 points)

And, finally, the pièce de résistance: Extra Credit for Originality and Creativity (100% bonus, because, let's be real, originality and creativity are overrated).
