What is a GET Request?

A GET request is like ordering food from a virtual drive-thru.

Imagine you're on a road trip, and you really need some snacks. You pull up to a drive-thru, and you order your favorite burger and fries. The menu is just a list of URLs.

When you press the button, it's like sending a message to the drive-thru window saying, "Hey, I'll take a burger and fries, please!" The drive-thru window (server) gets your message and sends you the food (response) back.
