Letters to My Landlord: 2023-01-23

Dear Landlord,

I hope this letter finds you in a state of mild panic, as I'm writing to inform you that the rent is still not paid.

I know, I know, it's been 14 days since I last paid you. But let me explain: I've been experiencing a severe case of "Sudden Onset Poverty Syndrome" (SOPS), which has left me unable to afford the rent.

As you know, this isn't the first time I've had to rely on my trusty "Emergency Fund" (which, spoiler alert, doesn't actually exist). But I assure you, it's not a lifestyle choice.

Can we discuss possible payment plans? Maybe a 50/50 split on the rent? Or better yet, a 75/50 split, considering I've been keeping the building from being a complete dump?

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Sincerely, [Your Tenant]
