Section 2: Labeling Techniques 101
Labeling, in the context of navigation, is the process of identifying and categorizing information so that users can find what they're looking for quickly and efficiently. But what does this have to do with anything? Well, imagine you're on a road trip across the vast expanse of the desert. The last thing you want to do is get lost in the middle of nowhere with no water or snacks. Labeling is like putting up signs along the way that say 'Water: 5 miles' or 'Snacks: 3 miles'. It's the difference between getting back to civilization with a tan and getting back with a sunburn and a bad attitude.
