Intergalactic Blerp League History

Where the cosmos collides with sports

The Intergalactic Blerp League (IBL) was founded in 3056 by a group of rogue space traders who grew tired of the lack of excitement in the galaxy's sports scene. They created the IBL as a way to bring some much-needed competition to the cosmos.

Early Years (3056-3080)

The early years of the IBL were marked by a series of intense, high-stakes games played on the moon of Gloopernacks. The first championship game was played between the Gloopernacks Gliders and the Rigelian Rockets, with the Gliders emerging victorious.

Mid-Period (3080-3120)

As the IBL grew in popularity, so did the number of participating teams. The mid-period saw the introduction of several new teams, including the Andromedian Avengers and the Orion's Orbiters.

Late Years (3120-3156)

The late years of the IBL saw a shift in the league's focus from individual teams to intergalactic alliances. The IBL formed a partnership with the United Galactic Coalition (UGC) to create a more cohesive and structured competition.
