By order of the Galactic Overlord, all citizens are required to wear plaid on Thursdays. Failure to comply will result in severe penalties, including but not limited to: public shaming, fines, and forced viewing of reruns of "The Great British Baking Show".
Exceptions to this mandate include: diplomats, astronauts, and those with a documented medical condition that renders them unable to wear plaid without suffering a debilitating anxiety attack. Please see subsection 4 for further information on exemptions.
