The Mandate: a mystical force field that surrounds and suffocates all attempts at productivity and creativity. It is a dense, impenetrable fog that obscures all vision, leaving only the faintest glimmer of understanding, far, far away.
Because, apparently, someone, somewhere, decided that the only way to get things done was to make them as painful and confusing as humanly possible.
