Article 1: The Mandate
WHEREAS the people of this land have grown tired of efficiency and productivity, BE IT ENACTED that all meetings shall henceforth be conducted with the aid of a 30-minute power nap.
Section 1: The Nap Time
Shall be 30 minutes, plus or minus 5 minutes, as dictated by the whims of the meeting leader.
Section 2: The Wake-Up Call
Shall consist of a loud, jarring bell and the recitation of an ancient proverb: "Rise, oh weary traveler, and conquer the day!"
Section 3: The Post-Nap Agenda
Shall consist of 5 minutes of stretching, followed by 5 minutes of group discussion, and finally 20 minutes of actual work.
Section 4: The Mandate's Scope
This mandate shall apply to all meetings, conferences, and town halls, excepting only those held on leap years, which shall be exempt.
Section 5: The Mandate's Enforceability
Any failure to comply with this mandate shall result in a penalty of 10 extra minutes of meeting time, to be added to the end of the meeting.
