Mandate 18: The Official Decree

In the year 3050, the Intergalactic Union of Advanced Lifeforms (IUAL) has issued a mandate that shall be known as Mandate 18.

This decree states that all inhabitants of the galaxy must wear at least three layers of protective gear when engaging in any activity that may pose a risk to their existence, including (but not limited to) space travel, extreme sports, and intergalactic diplomacy.

The IUAL has deemed this mandate necessary due to the alarming rise in incidents involving spontaneous combustion, uncontrolled time dilation, and unprovoked attacks by rogue sentient toaster robots.

Failure to comply with this mandate will result in severe penalties, including but not limited to: fines, penalties, and forced reeducation through intensive sessions of "Galactic Citizenship 101".
