By Order of the Sock Overlords, all footwear entering the realm of Foot Tread Safety must conform to the highest standards of toe-ality.
Only the most durable materials shall be employed in the construction of safety socks. None of those flimsy, threadbare, cotton monstrosities shall pass our inspection.
All safety socks shall display a color scheme approved by the Sock Color Commissars. Currently, only Safety Orange and Safety Yellow are recognized as acceptable hues.
