When we say "Synergy," what we really mean is "stuff that doesn't work."
Example: "This new initiative will bring us synergy, because it's a bunch of unrelated things we're doing now, but now they're all together in one thing!"

Example: "This project will yield low-hanging fruit, because it's not really a project, and it's not really fruit."
