In response to recent studies showing an increased risk of emotional collapse, we have developed an emergency hug protocol. This is not a drill. Please find a nearby adult or hug-buddy and initiate contact.
Step 1: Approach your hug-partner at a 90-degree angle, with arms outstretched.
Step 2: Engage the hug by making firm, yet non-invasive contact with the sides of the hug-recipient's torso.
Step 3: Maintain a minimum of 30 seconds of hug-time, or until the recipient indicates a desire to break free.
