We, the undersigned members of the Committee of Socks and Toes, do hereby declare that socks and toes are not, in fact, a joke. Despite popular opinion, they are a serious and complex issue that requires dedicated study and analysis.
Our research has shown that socks are, in fact, the unsung heroes of the footwear world, providing comfort, warmth, and a sense of style to millions of feet worldwide.
Toes, on the other hand, are the often-overlooked cousins of socks, frequently getting in the way of perfectly good socks, yet still deserving of our respect and admiration.
We propose the establishment of a national Socks and Toes Awareness Month, to be celebrated annually on the third Saturday of every February.
Resolution 2: Mandatory Sock Drawer Organization
WHEREAS, many of us have been guilty of throwing our socks into the dark abyss of the sock drawer, never to be seen again; BE IT ENACTED that all citizens of this great nation are hereby required to organize their sock drawers in a neat and orderly fashion, lest they face the wrath of the Socks and Toes Committee.
Resolution 3: Toenail Art Shall Not Be Mandatory
WHEREAS, some of us have been coerced into displaying gaudy and garish toenail art, against our will; BE IT ENACTED that all citizens are free to paint their toenails as they see fit, without fear of reprisal or ridicule.
