We, the undersigned, hereby adjourn the meeting of 2021-06-20, citing "unforeseen circumstances" as the reason for our hasty departure.

Specifically, we left because our coffee machine broke, and we couldn't possibly function without it. The meeting was going well, we were having a great discussion, and then... it all went terribly wrong.
