Socks and Sandals: The Actual Decisions That Mattered

On the fateful day of March 27th, 1987, the fate of humanity was decided in a meeting that lasted exactly 4.5 hours at the Sock-and-Sandal Convention Center in Downtown Metropolis. In attendance were 17 of the world's most influential leaders, all of whom wore matching Leader Socks. The agenda was simple: to decide the global standard for footwear.

After heated debates, impassioned speeches, and several impromptu breakouts for snacks, the decision was made: from that day forward, it would be sandals for everyone!

And so, the world was forever changed. But not in a particularly good way.
