When the powers that be decide to adjourn early and often, it's like they're trying to tell us something: meetings are a waste of time.
As a meeting adjournment minimalist, I've learned to cut straight to the chase and save us all the time-wasting drama. Here's how:
1. Just Send an Email
It's 2023. We have email. Use it. "Meeting adjourned. See you all next Thursday." Done.
2. Create a "Just Leave" Station
Set up a table with a sign that says "Just Leave" and a few chairs. That's it. Problem solved.
3. Have a "Meeting Adjournment" Button
Just like the "Do Not Disturb" sign on your hotel room door, but for meetings. Click it and be gone!
