Meet-and-Greet Rules for the Assembly Language Convention

Section 1: Mandatory Hugs

All attendees are required to provide 3 (three) hugs to any fellow attendee of their choice. Failure to comply will result in a penalty of 5 minutes of forced small talk.

Exception: If you are a hug-phobe, please report to the designated Hug-Referral Officer for alternative conflict resolution.

• Rule 1.1: Hugs must be administered with both hands and a smile.
• Rule 1.2: Hugs will be conducted in a 3-second window of opportunity to avoid awkward lingering.
• Rule 1.3: No hugs will be administered to attendees with a visible "DO NOT APPROACH" sign.

Section 2: Table Etiquette

Please be considerate when selecting your lunch table companions. Avoid seating with those who will make you regret it.

• Rule 2.1: No sitting with the person who ate the last of the free donuts.
• Rule 2.2: No sitting with the person who insists on telling their life story for the 12th time.
• Rule 2.3: No eye contact with the person who still uses MySpace.
