What is Illusory Priming?
Illusory priming is a phenomenon where our brains get tricked into seeing things that aren't really there. It's like when you stare at a wall for too long and start seeing shapes in the patterns of the plaster.
Types of Illusory Priming:
- Face Priming - When our brains start seeing faces in random patterns.
- Object Priming - When our brains start seeing objects in random patterns.
- Number Priming - When our brains start seeing numbers in random patterns.
Causes of Illusory Priming:
- Staring at a wall for too long
- Watching too many horror movies
- Misusing Google Maps
Note: Prolonged illusory priming can lead to Illusory Dysfunction.
