Janice's Code Organization Techniques

Janice is a master of chaos. Her desk is a war zone, with papers, sticky notes, and coffee cups scattered everywhere. But when it comes to code, she's a total neat freak. Here's how she keeps it organized:

Color-Coded Folders

Red folderRed folders for red-hot projects

Blue folderBlue folders for calm projects

Yellow folders for projects that need a little sunshine

Sticky Note Hierarchies

Sticky NoteCreate sticky notes for every idea, and then sort them by importance and deadline

Red for high priority, yellow for medium, and blue for low

Code Comments

Comment everything, even if it's just to remind herself to do something

"TODO: Call Mom"

Project Boards

Project BoardA big ol' board with a lot of post-it notes and a few dozen colored markers

Each project has its own board, with a different color scheme and a few dozen markers

Janice loves markers.
