John Never-Ending is a man of many tales, but this one is the one where he gets stuck in an elevator with a chicken and a trombone player.
As they ascend, they pass floor after floor, each one telling a different story. There's the floor of the forgotten sock puppets, the floor of the sentient toasters, and the floor of the infinite recursion of meetings that never end.
They finally arrive at the top, only to realize the elevator has been going up the wrong stairs all along. The doors open to reveal a room filled with rubber chickens, all of which are staring at John with an unblinking gaze.
And so begins another never-ending story.
