Fermat's Theorem Myths

Legend has it that Pierre de Fermat, the famous French mathematician, was a bit of a trickster. He loved to tease his fellow mathematicians with absurd claims about his theorem.

According to rumor, Fermat would often say, "I've got a proof, but you'll never see it!" And then he'd wink and disappear into thin air.

One of these outlandish myths claims that Fermat was so enamored with his theorem that he wrote a 10,000 page proof, which he hid away in a cave deep within the Pyrenean Mountains.

Another claims he was so proud of his discovery that he built a massive stone statue of himself in the middle of Paris, which would only appear once every 37 years under the light of a full moon.

But be warned, dear reader, these myths may be entirely fabricated, and you might just find yourself lost in the Pyประก mountain trails.
