Lagrange's Law of Uninvited Guests
It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a mathematian in possession of a good theorem, must be in want of a decent cup of coffee.
Here are the attendees of the Number Theory Nation's meeting on Lagrange's theorem:
- Fermat - The guy who always has a proof, but never has time.
- Kronecker - The king of partitions, and the king of excuses.
- Kronecker's Brother - The guy who always has to explain why the proof is wrong.
- Bernoulli - The guy who always has to count the number of ways to get to the answer.
- Lagrange - The one who always has to explain it in 4 lines, or less.
