While attempting to calculate the trajectory of a black hole, he got stuck in an infinite loop of gravitational waves.

His calculations kept looping back on themselves, and before he knew it, he was floating in space, surrounded by the infinite abyss of his own equations.

His only company was a lone, disembodied voice repeating the phrase "You are lost, Stephen. You are lost."

As the voice grew louder and more insistent, Stephen began to lose hope.
