Also known as "Scheduling Voodoo," this technique involves conjuring an appointment that never actually exists. When confronted with a request for a meeting, simply claim that the appointment is scheduled for a random, unverifiable date and time.
Example:
You: "I'm so sorry, I have an appointment with a very important client at 3:14 PM on a Wednesday. I'll have to reschedule."
Actual Truth:
You: "Uh, I'm not really sure when I'm free. Maybe never?"
Benefits:
Unlimited scheduling flexibility. No need to worry about actually having a meeting.
Disadvantages:
Might get called out on it. Might have to actually do some work.
