Argumentum Technicus

Straw Man Techniques is an advanced form of argumentum technicuus, used for creating the perfect argument.

This technique involves creating a straw man that is as thin as possible, yet as menacing as a bear.

Hyperbole is the art of exaggerating a point, like claiming the sky is falling, but only on Tuesdays.

Ad hominem is when you attack the person, not their argument, because that's always the most productive thing to do.

False Dichotomy is when you say "it's either this or that", when in fact it's both.

Slippery Slope is when you claim that one thing will inevitably lead to another, without any evidence.

Other than the fact that the sky is indeed falling on Tuesdays.

Red Herring is when you introduce a unrelated point, like claiming the sky falling on Tuesdays has nothing to do with the argument, but actually everything.
