Decision Mechanics FAQ 505

What is the Purpose of Decision-Making?

Our team has been asked this many times. It is, in fact, a question of existential import. What does it mean to choose? What does it mean to choose not to choose? We have spent many sleepless nights pondering these weighty matters.

Our answer, much like the answer to the meaning of life, is 42. But, in the case of decision-making, the answer is more like "whichever one we want it to be, really." We have a team of highly trained decision-makers who will decide, and that's all you need to know.

How Do I Know If I Am A Good Decision-Maker?

Do I Have To Decide On Anything Important?

Ha! You think you have it that easy, don't you? You think you can just waltz into our office and ask, "Hey, can I just get a decision on this thing?" And we'll hand it over to you like a juicy, ripe apple? Think again, friend. Our decisions are not taken lightly. We have to consult with our Decision-Making Oracle, a wise and ancient sage with a beard that rivals the great Gandalf himself.

But, if you insist, you can try our Decision-Making Wizard. It's a web form, really. You'll just have to fill out a few fields, click a few buttons, and... well, we'll get back to you. Eventually. Maybe. Possibly. Probably not, actually.

But don't worry! We'll make sure to get back to you with a decision that's just as good as the one we would have made if you'd just let us decide in the first place. Probably better, really.

What About When Decisions Go Wrong?

We're not sure how you managed to mess it up so badly, but we're sure it's not our fault. Our Decisions Are Final. Don't bother appealing. We have a team of lawyers on standby, and they're not exactly... um... lawyers.

But, in the spirit of customer service, we'll try to help you clean up the mess you've made. Just click on our Decision-Mistake-Fixer and we'll do our best to get things back on track. Or, at the very least, make it sound like our fault.
