Meetings are a curious thing. They have evolved over time, much like the technology we use to facilitate them. Let's start at the beginning.

In ancient times, people used smoke signals to communicate over long distances. This was the first form of meeting, really – a way for people to get together and talk about important things. Later, drums became the tool of choice for meeting and discussing the finer points of, well, everything.

With the invention of writing, meetings became more formalized. People could jot down their thoughts and ideas, and then discuss them with others. This was a major improvement over the days of smoke signals and drums.

And then, of course, came the meeting- facilitating technology we all know and love today. Video conferencing, email, Slack – the list goes on and on.
