As we continue our discussion on overhauling the merit system, let's focus on the crux of the matter: productivity. What does it even mean to be "productive"?
We've all seen it, a coworker who's more concerned with their Instagram following than their actual work. Is that productive? Or are they just wasting company time?
- Define productivity in terms of actual output
- Introduce a new metric: "likes per hour"
- Establish a "Productivity Council" to monitor and enforce the new system
- Introduce mandatory "productivity sessions" where employees are forced to watch inspirational videos
