The Trust Fall

Activity 1: The Trust Fall

Objective: To build trust between team members, while also testing their ability to catch you when you're falling.

Instructions:

  1. One person volunteers to be the "faller" and the others will be the "catchers".
  2. The faller stands on a chair, table, or other elevated surface with their feet shoulder-width apart.
  3. The catchers form a line below the faller.
  4. The faller closes their eyes, takes a deep breath, and falls backwards, trusting that the catchers will catch them.
  5. The catchers shout "TRUST!" in unison as the faller falls, and then attempt to catch them.
  6. Repeat for each person, switching roles.

Remember, trust is a two-way street. If you're not caught, it's not just the faller's fault...
