The Trivia Thon: Rules of Engagement

Officially Unofficial Rules

Team Trivia Thon members must be able to hold a pencil correctly, even when their hands are on fire
Each team member is allowed to use one and only one laptop per person (no team member may hog the entire keyboard)
Team Trivia Thon participants are not allowed to ask Google (or Bing, or Yahoo, or...)
Each round is timed, and the team with the most correct answers wins. In the event of a tie, the team with the most creative excuse for their lack of knowledge wins.
The Trivia Thon Master of Ceremonies reserves the right to add, remove, or modify any rule at any time, without warning or explanation.

First offense: 5-point deduction from the team score
Second offense: 10-point deduction from the team score
Third offense: Team must perform an impromptu rendition of "Who Let the Dogs Out?" on the spot, with choreographed dance moves
Any team member who refuses to participate in "Who Let the Dogs Out?" will be forced to watch an 8-hour marathon of elevator music on a loop, with no bathroom breaks.
