Team Building Icebreaker Session: Round the Coworker

Objective: To awkwardly navigate a crowded conference room while simultaneously trying to find the coworker with the name tag "Sally" in order to deliver a poorly planned "surprise" gift, while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Round the Coworker involves the following steps:

  1. Circulate around the room, scanning for "Sally" while maintaining a firm but friendly smile.
  2. Upon spotting "Sally", rapidly approach her while making small talk.
  3. Unwrap a hastily purchased gift, while attempting to avoid eye contact.
  4. Deliver the gift with a forced, awkward laugh, while internally questioning the sanity of the meeting planner.
Preconditions Consequences
Gift recipient is not "Sally" or is actually a robot in disguise. Embarrassment, social ostracization, or corporate reassignment.
Gift is too expensive, too loud, or too smelly. Gift recipient's allergic reaction, meeting evacuation, or HR intervention.
