A delegatee is a person or entity that has been delegated a task or responsibility by a superior or other authority figure.
Types of Delegatees
- Active Delegatees: Those who take proactive steps to fulfill their delegated tasks.
- Passive Delegatees: Those who wait for others to remind them of their delegated tasks.
- Delegatee-By-Default: Those who are delegated tasks simply because no one else will do them.
Delegatee Etiquette
- Always respond to delegated tasks with enthusiasm, even if you have no idea what you're doing.
- Never, ever, ever delegate back to the person who delegated the task.
- Delegatees should always be prepared to accept blame for the failures of their delegated tasks.
